I chose this hotel because I thought it was the best place to see the water parade of the Venice Carnival. The location is great! I wanted to take photos, so I asked for a room with a balcony and flag, which had good reviews. However, I regret it a little because the flag fluttered in the wind when I tried to take a photo. The surrounding area was very crowded, so the view of the carnival from this hotel room was luxurious! I could see the Grand Canal on the left and the Rialto Bridge on the right. I stayed here to celebrate my birthday, and I was happy to see the hotel's balloons and decorations on the bed. The hotel staff and dining staff were all very nice. Considering the price of the room, the room was not that large, and the breakfast was not particularly luxurious,It was a pleasure to have Prosecco at breakfast. It was a hotel with a view that will be a lifelong memory.I'm so glad I chose this place for our special anniversary trip.

While this hotel is indeed in an older building, I was completely charmed by it. I had a single room overlooking the Rialto Bridge, and my room was a fantastic shade of pink (no sarcasm - I loved it). It does get busy directly outside, but I found that by 11 or midnight the street noise had died down altogether. When I wasn't out exploring, I loved being able to just look out my window and people watch. Breakfast was good, with hot and cold options. And there's a waterbus stop right outside. Be warned, their key policy is that you check your room key in and out when you leave, so your key is left at the front desk, and it's never out on the streets with you. As someone who prefers to be self sufficient and keep to myself, this gave me pause at first, but you get used to it, and I didn't feel as scrutinized as I thought I would in my comings and goings. There are definitely newer hotels out there, but this one has personality.

Fantastic location right next to the Rialto Bridge. Very helpful and friendly staff and nothing is too much trouble. Breakfast will find a substantial array of cold and hot items provided by very hard working staff. The hotel is traditional Italian in style, but it suited us down to the ground. The private water taxi to/from the airport will pick people up directly outside the hotel. The hotel is surrounded by shops and places to eat. Personally, I'd avoid the restaurant attached to the hotel frontage for reasons stated elsewhere on TripAdvisor. Nice little bar Nextdoor though.

Location Location Location... Not to mention the high-quality nature of the hotel. The history of Venezia oozes within the hotel. The reception staff are of utmost professionalism. Very courteous, and great knowledge for details on the guest. There is a rooftop panoramic terrace for viewing the grand canal and rialto bridge. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast buffet had a wide variety of offerings. Staff were attentive and welcoming. There is also seating with canal viewing, which was a bonus.

Stayed here before 2 yrs ago. Liked it enough to return. Location is great, step out the door to the Rialto bridge. Transport links via boat to/from airport directly to the hotel & all around the city. Easy walking distance to St. Marks square, about 15 mins. Plenty of shops and restaurants around. Hotel breakfast was excellent, sets you up for the day. Staff always very helpful and friendly.
